On July 5, 2006, after one hundred (100) years on Earth, John T. Tierney, Local 46 Business Manager Emeritus, Lather #32263, passed away. From the first day of his Apprenticeship in 1921, John was committed to improving our Organization and the lot of its members.

Through all these years he worked tirelessly for the rank and file. Thousands were helped by John in his innumerable good deeds. Many a kid got through college and many a Lather was helped by his generosity, warmth and caring nature. If each and every one of our members devoted themselves to the welfare of our Union as John T. Tierney did, Local 46 would be a much better place. Thanks for the memories, and so long John. May you rest in Peace, until we all meet again.
